Why Build "Green"? (under construction)

Building "green" is receiving ever-increasing attention with major focus on sustainable construction and resource conservation.  Much of our environment and our precious natural resources are being depleted as a result of doing things the way we have always done them.

Building is the one of the largest users of resources in the world, second only to agriculture, and conservation efforts in this area would have a tremendous impact on the environment.

Most importantly, surpassing the energy issue is the issue of the health of yourself and your loved ones.   How many times have you walked into a newly constructed home based on "old technology" and gagged on the odors?  Think that's healthy? THINK AGAIN!  Those odors are the result of paints, finishes, and other coated materials giving off fumes of some type.
