3918 Solar Lane (Lot 1 of Park Meadows Subdivision)

Seen below is Eco-Green Builders first house.  This beautiful house has been constructed to sustainable standards, and requires virtually no maintenance.  It is a 1,950 sq. ft. residence with an open floor plan, 3 bedrooms plus a den/office/guest bedroom and 2 bathrooms.  Each bath has a jetted tub!

The house is for sale.  Original asking price was $429,500, but the builder willl entertain offers from interested parties.  Currently, the house is rented for $1,300/month and the lease expires May 31, 2010.

The simulated shingle roof, known as Armorlite, is a lifetime roof requiring no care and needs no clearing of moss as do many Northwest homes.  This is due to the polymer material, which prevents moss from taking hold.  Roofs more than 15 years old appear as new as this. The roof is made of 85% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.  The siding is a cement product similar to the Hardie brand with a couple of distinctions.  The material utilizes 30% flyash as a recycled material and has a 25-year paint warranty.  Windows are all Energystar certified.

Photo of the kitchen cabinets and counters.  The cabinets are custom built by the company for the space from Europly maple which uses no formaldehyde glues and are finished with a low VOC water-based finish.
Counter tops are trade named Richlite and are manufactured from recycled paper and a water-based resin.  They are similar in usage and wear to granite, without the radiation issues, and require minimal care.

The following photos show the open floor plan and architectural woodwork customized to each of our houses or to the customer's specifications.

This view demonstrates the openness of the plan with the vaulted and paneled ceilings with hemlock fir and the floor of engineered bamboo.  The bamboo flooring was laid on an angle to the walls, which adds interest to the overall view.  Behind the kitchen counter is the propane gas stove and oven.  All lighting is Compact Flourescent Lights (CFLs), adding to the energy efficiency of the house.

This image typifies the quality of the interior woodwork.  Doors have fluted columns and rosettes at the top of each.  The baseboard and window sills are also of the same material.  The trade name of the wood trim is Allowood, which is a native pine grown in managed forests (FSC) and finished with low VOC, water-based finish.
